DeShannon has supported hundreds of individuals and families over the last 30 years accomplish their dream of homeownership. His experience as being a tenured broker and a home owner gives him a leg up on a lot of the competition because he has experienced countless scenarios. He credits a lot of his early years of knowledge to his mentors like the late John Dolphin, the late Harry Murphy, and Hal Hutchens of Affiliated Brokers Real Estate. This made him one of the youngest Top Real Estate professionals in the Bay Area from the beginning.
DeShannon has had the honor of working with Affiliated Brokers Real Estate for 17 years, Community Realty for 6 years, and now Session Real Estate with the very skilled and tenured and knowledgeable Kenneth Session.

In order to stay current with local financing trends DeShannon is also one of the few Real Estate Brokers who is license under the NMLS. #871174.
The goal of NMLS is to employ the benefits of local, state-based financial services regulation on a nationwide platform that provides for improved coordination and information sharing among regulators, increased efficiencies for industry, and enhanced consumer protection.
DeShannon's Philanthropy, Social Justice Work, and service in the community
DeShannon has earned a Masters Degree In Social Work. In addition to Real estate DeShannon has always supported the community and collaborated with Alameda County, Contra Costa County and some of the top nonprofit organizations in the Bay Area. Some of the organizations that DeShannon has supported are: Seneca family center, Larkin Stfeet Youth Services in San Francisco, Building Opportunities for Self-Sufficiency (BOSS), Bay Area Community Services (BACS), Criminal Justice Mental Health services, the Alameda County Superior Court collaborative courts, Drug court, Oakland community support center, The 100 Black Men of the Bay Area, Shadows of the Knight Inc.,and various substance use treatment programs. DeShannon's mentor in community mental health is the amazing Aimee Armata, LCSW.
One of his biggest community future goals is to work with the city and county to help solve the ever-growing homeless issue.

DeShannon has invested in Real Estate and gone through the process personally many times. He is in tune with his buyers who want to get a good deal and his sellers that what to get top dollar for their home.
During his career as a Real Estate Investor DeShannon has owned close to 90 residential and commercial units, spanning from Oakland, Vallejo, Sacramento, Fresno, Visalia San Pablo, Richmond, Fairfield, Atlanta Georgia, Phoenix Arizona, and Hayward California just to name a few.
